MASTERCLASS

ON HEALTHCARE ASSOCIATED INFECTIONS
ACHIEVING THE HEALTH ACT 2006 AND BEYOND

This year's Masterclasses have been postponed until the Spring 2009.
Following a recent review by the organisers and advisory panel of the
many conferences and course opportunities in the UK this summer
and later on in 2008 it was concluded that there were too
many in the calendar.

The Panel felt that many of the conferences now being promoted
duplicated aspects of the Masterclass programme.

The Masterclasses are aimed at those in positions of influence and responsible for the
implementation of strategies; from assessment to design strategies to directing teams
and influencing behaviours of others; leading to minimal HAI in their Trusts.

So with this focus the Panel are researching speakers from the UK and overseas to
develop a programme that can really contribute to the practical and management goals
of not only reducing HAI but maintaining minimum levels of infection, so maximising the
efforts of all professionals involved and gaining maximum benefit for the patients and budgets.

During this planning phase: the panel would be very keen to know of what you and your team
and colleagues elsewhere are looking for in terms of your professional development in 2009.

Please move to the "Suggestions" page and let me have your objectives and suggestions for 2009
including speakers you would like to hear through to volunteering your teams experiences or
